Osprey
An Osprey approaces Willow Pond on the Murray/Jordan River Parkway...
And perches at a location where it can observe trout swimming
Unfortunately for me, the Osprey decides to take a trout, facing away from my camera!!
Airborne, with a struggling trout, the bird flies directly away from me
Here it works to secure the fish for transport to a distant nest
For a moment, the fish is held with only foot
But finally the osprey has its catch 'in hand'
Another look at the Osprey before it left the location with "Take Out"
This bird was seen often during the summer of 2009 at Willow Pond
