Yellow Rumped Warbler
This handsome bird surfaced in bushes adjacent to the Sandy Fishing Pond... a Yellow Rumped Warbler
I noticed one of these birds catching flying insects and I accepted the challenge to photograph it in action
Some of my images are better than others in photographing BIF (birds in flight)
Since these birds are small and fast, it's quite a challenge to capture them in motion
But, when I'm successful I believe it was worth the effort!
Winter time at 123000 South Jordan River...
As with many birds, the Yellow Rumped Warbler gorges on Russian Olive fruit...
I've pointed out a number of birds listed here that use the olive for food.
I believe that the persons who have decided to tear out all of the Russian Olive trees along the Parkway should think again!
Feasting on Olives!
And overwintering in great shape!
